When should I have a bow to rehair

A professional musician has his bow rerehair every 3 to 6 months on average.

If you are a hobby musician and play for about an hour a day, you should check your bow or have it checked after about a year.

How do you know it’s time for a new reference?

• You need more and more rosin and the hair still doesn’t grab properly.
• The hair gets longer and longer over time and you can no longer draw the bow properly.
• The bow has already lost a lot of hair.
